A Passion For Photography

Hi! Welcome to my blog on Photography.

I have always had a keen interest in photography, since a young age. I started to explore this interest at around age 15. I started of using my phone camera to snap any view I enjoyed. Around Christmas last I got an iPhone6s, and it changed the way in which I took photos. It had a better camera and that helped me get high quality pictures. Around my 18th I bought a canon camera, it’s a standard camera and wasn’t too expensive. For my first-time camera, it was a great buy. I began to understood how to use it. I looked up websites on canon cameras to learn about them. I have also been looking at studying a photography course in The Academy of Photography which is in Dublin. It’s a great course as I can do it while at home.

I started uploading the images onto social media – Instagram, Twitter and recently I have created a Facebook photography page. This way helps me to let people and friends know that I enjoy photography. I find it fascinating to hear comments and to get feedback is always a plus. I find that social media is a good way to get not only the word out but let’s people from all over the world view your work.

I also had a photo that was used on an online website about four years ago. It was a Christmas photo of new year’s. I had posted it on twitter at the time. It’s a good idea as people in newspapers or on online websites can easily contact you if they wish to use your work. This is the photo I posted on twitter!! This one of the posts I uploaded to twitter. Allowing other people to see your work is a great way of being recognized.

In my course the use of Adobe Photoshop has allowed me the ability to edit my Photos easily. You can download a 30-day trial and it gives you full usage of the program. It is quick, easy and simple to use. Then based on your liking of the program you can buy it for 12.99 a month. This is a good deal. The picture to the left was took on my Iphone6s and I used adobe Lightroom and photoshop to allowed me the ability to edit it. I also made the colours more define.

Hope yous all enjoyed my first blog post. Don't stop following your dreams.
